Thursday, July 16, 2026: Pennichuck has repaired the water main break on Sherman St. in Nashua. Water service has been restored in the area. Technicians are flushing hydrants to dispel naturally occurring sediment and air from the main. Residents who experience discolored water afterwards on Friday, July 17, 2026, should run their cold water for 10 minutes. If the issue persists, please call customer service at 800-553-5191. Subwatershed Studies

There are a total of ten subwatersheds within the Pennichuck Watershed as identified in the 1998 Pennichuck Water Works Watershed Management Plan. One primary recommendation from the Watershed Management Plan was to perform a detailed review of each of the subwatersheds to identify best management practices that could be applied to minimize pollutant loadings from existing impervious surfaces, and to prevent pollutant impacts from future development.
