What does Pennichuck do to protect water quality?
- We process approximately 10,000 samples every year to maintain a keen eye on our water quality and to be sure that we are meeting all of the standards set by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- We installed water quality monitoring devices in our supply ponds, giving us real time data that allows us to make decisions on operational and long-term planning for water quality. Read more on LinkedIn here!
- We facilitate watershed management efforts through the Pennichuck Water Works Watershed Management Program to protect our 17,000 acre watershed. See more about Watershed Protection here.
