On Monday, September 21, 2026 through Friday, October 2, 2026, Pennichuck will be performing a series of fire flow tests throughout the Litchfield, Londonderry, and Nashua Core Systems. These fire flow tests are being performed due to system improvements. Technicians will be flushing hydrants to dispel naturally occurring sediment and air from the main. Residents who experience discolored water should run their cold water for approximately 10 minutes. If the issue persists, please call Customer Service at 800-553-5191. Construction/Projects Update

September 2026: Decommissioning of the former Milford Underground Booster Station located at 415 Boston Post Road in Amherst will begin on approximately September 7, 2026, and will be completed by September 30, 2026. With the construction and installation of the new Milford Booster Station that was constructed in 2025, the new station supersedes the former Milford Underground Booster Station. The work performed in decommissioning of this station includes removal of associated piping and site restoration. Residents can expect construction noise, and temporary impacts to roadway travel. Ongoing: Construction is underway on Mack Hill Rd., from the intersection at Manchester Rd. to Dodge Rd., to abandon the existing 8-inch asbestos cement water main and replace it with approximately 1,500 feet of new water main, along with new valves, hydrant improvements, and water service replacements. This project will improve water system reliability, reduce leakage, and provide increased water flow capacity for the area.
