PWW Consolidated Rate Filing

Rate Filing

On November 21, 2023, Pennichuck Water Works, Inc. (PWW) has filed rate schedules with the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission (Commission) to change rates for all of its customer classes, including General Metered (GM), Non-Metered, Municipal, and Private Fire Services, and portions of special contracts as well as for all the customers of Pennichuck East Utility, Inc. (PEU) and the Pittsfield Aqueduct Company, Inc. (PAC).  A companion petition to merge PEU and PAC into PWW is also being filed.  PWW seeks an overall permanent increase of 9.95%, although the rate changes to each individual rate class will differ.  The proposed rates will be the same for all customers regardless of community except in two customer classes, the GM Volumetric rate and the public fire protection rates.  There will be two volumetric rates, one for Core customers and one for Non-Core customers.  A Core customer gets their water supply directly from the Nashua Water Treatment Plant.  A Non-Core customer gets their water supply from a source other than the Nashua Water Treatment Plant.

PWW’s petition and subsequent docket filings for this case, other than information for which confidential treatment is requested of or granted by the Commission, are posted to the Commission’s website at www.puc.nh.gov/Regulatory/Docketbk/2023/23-088.html
