Friday, July 24, 2026: Pennichuck has completed the emergency leak repair at Hooker St. and Edith Ave. in Nashua. Water service has been restored in the area. Technicians are flushing hydrants to dispel naturally occurring sediment and air from the main. Residents who experience discolored water afterwards on Saturday, July 25, 2026, should run their cold water for 10 minutes. If the issue persists, please call customer service at 800-553-5191.

Friday, July 24, 2026: Discolored water has been reported on streets surrounding Mack Hill Rd. in Amherst where Pennichuck is filling a new section of water main. Pennichuck is aware of the issue and is currently working to resolve it by flushing to dispel air and naturally occurring sediment. The water is safe to use; however, we advise customers to avoid washing laundry until the issue is resolved. If you have any questions, please call customer service at 800-553-5191. Water Restrictions

Water Restrictions are put in place to preserve the integrity of the water supply and to ensure availability of water for domestic usage. The following is an explanation of the different classifications of water restrictions that may be put in effect in any water system. Please reference My Water System for restrictions that may be in place in your water system. Please note that water restrictions are in place all year long and when changes are made we will contact you by letter, email, or phone call.

Enforcement of Water Restrictions:
First time violators will receive a written warning for non-compliance and further instances that violation outside usage restrictions will result in disconnection of service.  A fee for re-connection will be charged.  The Company will only reconnect until 6:00 PM on the day of disconnect. Customers that call to be reconnected after 6:00 PM will be reconnected after 7:30 AM of the next day.

Water Restriction Classifications:

Level 1: Odd/Even Outdoor Water Restrictions:

  • Lawn watering (sprinklers and irrigation systems) are allowed based on odd/even house numbers
    • Odd numbered houses are allowed on odd numbered days (1,3,5,7,9 etc.)
    • Even numbered houses are allowed on even numbered days (2,4,6,8,10, etc.)
  • Exceptions:
    • Hand-held hoses or watering cans will be permitted for use in your vegetable and flower gardens on any day.
    • Filling Kiddie Pools (6’ or less in diameter and no deeper than 12”) is permitted on any day.

Level 2: Two Days Per Week Outdoor Water Restrictions:

  • Lawn watering (sprinklers and irrigation systems) allowed on assigned days between the hours of 5:00am and 8:00am
    • Odd numbered houses – Monday and Thursday
    • Even numbered houses – Tuesday and Friday
  • Exceptions:
    • Hand-held hoses or watering cans will be permitted for use in your vegetable and flower gardens on any day.
    • Filling Kiddie Pools (6’ or less in diameter and no deeper than 12”) is permitted on any day.

Level 3:  One Day Per Week Outdoor Water Restrictions:

  • Lawn watering (sprinklers and irrigation systems) allowed on assigned days  between the hours of 5:00am and 8:00am
  • Exceptions:
    • Hand-held hoses or watering cans will be permitted for use in your vegetable and flower gardens on any day.
    • Filling Kiddie Pools (6’ or less in diameter and no deeper than 12”) is permitted on any day.

Level 4:  Total Outdoor Water Ban:

  • All outdoor water usage is banned with the exception of:
    • Hand-held hoses or watering cans will be permitted for use in your vegetable and flower gardens on any day.
