Community Based Social Marketing

In this program, CEI targeted nonpoint source pollution from residential lawn care by aiming to:

  • Decrease lawn fertilizer use
  • Increase proper application of lawn fertilizer
  • Increase use of organic/low nutrient/slow release fertilizers
  • Increase annual soil testing
  • Improve the understanding of what products are being applied
