Due to a main break on 10/17/19 in the Tinker Rd area, customers in some parts of Northwest Nashua and Amherst system may experience intermittent periods of colored water. Repairs on the main are complete, and our crews are working over the next few days to clear the colored water from the system. Customers experiencing colored water are encouraged to contact Customer Service at 800-553-5191 to report the occurrence.  Information provided by our customers is helpful as we respond to alleviate the colored water.  To minimize the potential for colored water as construction work continues over the next several weeks, Pennichuck crews will be performing flushing activities as necessary. This message will be updated accordingly if additional flushing is necessary.   Please click here for a map of the area affected.

Nonpoint Source Pollution Studies

From 2000 to 2004, Comprehensive Environmental Inc. completed a series of Urban Nonpoint Source Pollution Studies for various Pennichuck subwatersheds. Each study included a detailed review of land uses within the subwatershed susceptible to Non-Point Source and identified structural and non-structural measures suggested to improve nutrient  levels in the source waterbodies.
